House of Iyers began long before the restaurant itself. It began in a family kitchen filled with the sounds of steel utensils, the aroma of roasted spices, fresh curry leaves crackling in hot ghee, and filter coffee slowly brewing in the early hours of the morning. It began with meals that brought people together, not for occasions, but simply because food was how love was expressed.
For years, these recipes existed only within the family. They were never written like restaurant formulas or created for business. They were made instinctively, shaped by memory, passed from one generation to the next through observation, patience, and care. What started as tradition slowly became a dream.
The idea behind House of Iyers was never just to open another restaurant. It was to create a place that felt personal. A place where South Indian food could be experienced the way we grew up knowing it. Authentic, comforting, soulful, and deeply rooted in home. Every corner of the space was designed intentionally. Every flavour was tested with care. Every detail - from the atmosphere to the plating to the coffee - was created to reflect who we are.
